How much does EV home charger installation cost?

Prices can vary depending on the type of charger and other variables, but the average cost is around £1,100 for both the product and installation. That said, expect to pay more depending on the type of protection at your consumer unit, there are some requirements you will need in order for your EV charging equipment to be installed including Type A RCD protection and Surge protection. If you do not have a modern consumer unit we can achieve this by installing a 2 way EV consumer unit next to your current one to ensure complaiance rather than changing your whole house consumer unit.
Main protective bonding conductors to the gas and water pipes may also have to be upgraded
